Compound Injection Moulding
Sandwich Injection Moulding

The multicomponent injection molding is divided into two different processes:

  • The components are arranged abreast, i.e. they are externally distinguishable at the molded part by different colors or appearance

  • The components are injected into one another, i.e. only the component which is injected first is externally visible.
The thus manufactured molded parts are hence not always cognizable as multicomponent molded parts (co-injection and sandwich)
